Ephesians 6:12-13 - “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.”

At Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church, we are "a growing family of Christ's followers." We're an unlikely mix of people, whom only God would put together and love. Some of us have known Jesus all our lives while others are new to their faith. The one thing that we have in common, is that we're following Jesus. As we follow Him, we share life's pleasures and pains; joys and sorrows; hopes and disappointments. We have learned that relationships are more valuable than religion; that a little compassion overcomes a world of hurt; and that grace always flows downhill. Jesus's call to us is pointed, direct, and commanding: "Come, follow me!" (Matthew 4:19) I invite you to join us in the journey! Come see what He is doing at Lookout Valley Presbyterian Church, "a growing family of Christ's followers."
Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Davidson

This Sunday January 29, LVPC will be ordaining and installing newly elected officers in the church. This will be a great opportunity to experience "presbyterian church government" firsthand, and to see how it is different -- and we believe, better! -- than other models for governing the church.
The message will be on "Maximizing Effectiveness in Ministry," 1 Timothy 4:9-16.
The deadline for submitting articles for the February Welcome Mat is 9:00 a.m. January 31.
What's the Lord been doing in your life? Tell us about it!
Submit your article in Microsoft Word format to kdintsch@comcast.net
Also, check your digital camera's memory card. Do you have any photos from church activities of the last 2-3 months? Pass them along to me for the website, and for possible usage in the Welcome Mat too.
